Our Action Committee has been hard at work to make much needed improvements to the club. Thanks to our members, efforts are underway to give our our grand ol’ aerie a facelift. A lot will happen over the next few months, so be prepared to see some exciting updates.
On Sunday, March 8, volunteers will assemble to dust, sweep, wipe, and organize the upstairs storage, supplies, and closet space so we can make the upper floor more enticing to use and rent. Then in April, we’ll remove old and unused furnishings, fixtures, and left behind items in storage. Finally, we’ll update furnishings, appliances, equipment and add some nice decor as well as give the walls a fresh coat of paint. Linda Lee is helping with the club refresh and would love your help as part of the cleaning crew. To offer assistance or skills (painters and handymen), please contact her at lindamusiclee@yahoo.com or leave a voice message at 206-783-6962. If you have a pick-up truck that could be used to haul items to the dump, please contact Jimmy Bee Barrett at jimmybeebarrett@gmail.com.
Secondly, by the beginning of April, we will be launching our new website. Our website will be the face of our club to attract new members, market our rental spaces, and be a resource for our members to stay connected and be informed. There will be more to come, so stay tuned.
Last but not least, our bar managers Addie and Hannah are working their hearts out to engage more members by offering Taco Tuesdays, karaoke Wednesdays, and Sunday brunch. There will be more opportunities to hang out at the club and enjoy each others company. Dinners on Wednesday and Fridays will become more regular. Check The Bay Breeze calendar for the menu. To help cook and offer support to these ladies, contact them at barmanager@salmonbayeagles.com. Addie is also looking to folks to donate specific items for the bar, kitchen, and game room. Ask her.
